Marianne Skarpnord

Was first introduced to golf by her father. Won the British Girls Championship 2003. Played in the winning European Junior Solheim Cup team at Bogskogens GC in Sweden 2003.
In 2005, had a tough rookie season, playing in 14 tournaments. Her best result was T-22nd in the OTP Bank Ladies Central European Open in Hungary. Earnings EUR 6,673 and finished 121st on the Money List.
In 2006, played in seven events, with her best finish of T23rd in the Finnair Masters. Earned EUR 6,126.68 to finish 127th on the Money List. Returned to Tour School and will play in 2007 with a conditional card.
In 2007, played in just three LET events and made one cut. However, she qualified for full card by winning the Swedish Telia Tour order of merit (the official feeder tour to the LET).
In 2008, recorded seven top-10 finishes from 21 events and became established as one of the most consistent performers all year. Her career-best finish was second at the AIB Ladies Irish Open at Portmarnock Hotel and Links, where she finished five shots behind compatriot Suzann Pettersen. She tied for fifth at the Garanti American Express Turkish Ladies Open, sixth at the Goteborg Masters, and sixth at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open and Madrid Ladies Masters, tied for eighth at the ABN AMRO Ladies Open, and T10th at the Open de Espana Femenino. Ended the year in 16th position on the New Star Money List.
In 2009, recorded two wins and seven additional top-10 finishes. She became a first-time winner at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open at Golf Gerre Losone, finishing one stroke clear of England's Melissa Reid. She then earned a second victory at the Carta Si Ladies Italian Open at Golf Club Le Rovedine in Milan, rolling in a six-foot birdie putt at the third playoff hole to deny Laura Davies. The next best finishes were third at the ABN AMRO Ladies Open, tied for third at the Finnair Masters, fourth at the Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open, tied for sixth at the Ladies German Open, tied eighth at both the Women's Australian Open and the AIB Ladies Irish Open and tied 9th at the Open de Espana Femenino. She finished 4th on the Henderson Money List with season's earnings of Euros 203,350.38, which was her best result in five years on tour. At the end of the season, finished third at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she earned Priority List Category 11 for the 2010 LPGA season.
2010 Notes: Played in 16 LPGA events, only making 4 cuts. Best finish was T-27th at the Tres Marias Championship. With just $19,910 in earnings lost her card. Played in 7 LET events finishing runner-up twice; to Laura Davies at the Pegasus New Zealand Women's Open and Sophie Gustafson at the AIB Ladies Irish Open. She finished 35th on the Order of Merit with season earnings of euro61,318.
2011 Notes: Played in 13 LET events, and best finish was T-23rd twice, at the RACV Ladies Masters and Finnair Masters.
2012 Notes: Played 19 LET events with a season-best T-2nd at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco. Season's earnings: euro56,127 and was 54th on the order of merit.
2013 Notes: Played 20 LET events and earned her third LET title at the South African Women's Open, which was reduced to 18 holes due to adverse weather. Was T-6th at the Lalla Meryem Cup.
2014 Notes: Played in 16 LET events and best finish was T-8th at the Ladies Italian Open.
2015 Notes: Played in 16 LET tournaments with seven top-15 finishes. Her best performances of the season were achieved at the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women's Open and the Buick Championship, where she finished T-4th at both events.
2016 Notes: Played in 14 LET tournaments with three top-20 finishes. Marianne's best performance was 8th at the ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters. She ended the year in 34th position on the Order of Merit. She was T-25th at the Rio Olympics as a member of Norwegian's women's golf team.
2017 Notes: Played in 12 LET events making nine cuts. Best finish T-12th at the Sanya Ladies Open.
2018 Notes: Played in 13 LET events making ten cuts. Best finish T-9th at the ActewAGL Canberra Classic.
2019 Notes: Played in 18 LET events, making 15 cuts. He finished second on the Order of Merit after recording a win and nine further top-10 finishes and was voted by her fellow LET members as Players' Player of the Year. S2020 Notetarted the season strongly with second place in Abu Dhabi. Then won the 2019 Pacific Bay Resort Australian Ladies Classic at Bonville Golf Resort to lead the Order of Merit. Led the race heading into the season's final event, the Magical Kenya Ladies Open, only for Esther Henseleit to snatch the title with her maiden LET victory.
2020 Notes: Played 11 LET events, recording five top-15s and a season-best of T-5th at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open. Finished T-11th on three occasions on her way to ending the year 18th on the Race to Costa del Sol.
2021 Notes: Played in 20 LET events making 17 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Was 7th on the Race to Costa Del Sol and 22nd on the money list earning euro86,895. Was 2nd at the ATS London Team Event and won the team series of that event. Was T-4th the next week at the Gant Ladies Open, just four shots back of the winner Matilda Castren. Finished 2nd at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, a shot back of winner Atthaya Thitkul.
2022 Notes: Best finish of the year, T-17th at the Aramco Team Series - Bangkok (individual)
