Matt Harmon

Attended East Kentwood High School, where he was all-state in 1999, 2001 and 2002. Was the 2002 Michigan Mr. Golf. Was state individual champion in 2001 and 2002. Lettered in basketball all four years of high school. Won three college tournaments at Michigan State and was selected as the 2007 Big Ten Player of the Year. Was a member of the Big Ten All-Academic team in 2005 and 2006. Helped the Spartans win Big 10 Championships in 2005 and 2007 and was third individually in 2007.
Played the Hooters Tour from 2008-11. In 2012 played in two events on the eGolf Tour and won The HGM Hotels Classic at Rock Barn in a playoff.
Harmon lucked out a bit as another player was suppose to get a sponsor exemption into the TPC Stonebrae Championship. But he was qualified for the event so Harmon got the spot and after shooting rounds of 71-68-71 shot a final round 61 which got him a share of 2nd. That got him into the next week's event were he missed the cut but was able to play in Mexico finishing T13th and with the reshuffling able to stay on the Web.Com tour for the rest of the year.
