Is playing in his first USGA championship. Owns the world record for the most birdies in a row with 11, according to Golfweek Magazine. He accomplished the feat on August 24, 1989 at Jimmy Clay Municipal Golf Course. Won the 2011 Texas Golf Association South Region Senior Championship and finished second at the 2011 Firecracker Open in Austin, Texas. Has won every major championship in Austin, Texas, including the Men's City Championship, Firecracker Open and Blue Bonnett Cup. Runs a golf website at www.golfaustin.org. Was a First-Team All-American selection his sophomore year at Lamar University.
Was president of the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and served on the board of directors of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. Worked for 27 years as the associate registrar at the University of Texas. Enjoys fishing, reading, playing and writing music and sailing.
