Mingyu Cho

Very little is known of Cho, he was born and still lives in South Korea. When he turned pro in 2007 he went and played on the Japan Golf Tour and played around 250 events on that tour. He has won twice and chalked up close to 20 top-ten finishes, In his Japan Golf Tour career, he has yen255,530,247 (1,881,084 in American dollars).
When COVID hit, Cho stayed home and played on the Korean Tour. In 2020 played in 11 Korean events, making eight cuts with four top-ten finishes. His best finish was T-2nd at the Caltex Maekyung Open, he was a shot back of winner Taehee Lee. For the year he was 13th on the Korean money list with 185,441,187won ($143,843).
2021 Notes: Played a combination of Korean and Japan Golf Tour events. In Japan played in 12 events, making ten cuts. His best finish was T-18th at the Mynavi ABC Championship. He was 80th on the money list with yen8,698,942 ($6,747) in earnings. On the Korean Tour played in nine events and was in the top-ten three times. Was 2nd at the Shinhan Donghae Open, a shot back of winner Yoseeop Seo. Was 3rd at the BIZPLAY-Electronic Times, two shots back of the Kyungnam Kang/Taehoon Ok playoff. Was T-10th at the DGB Financial Group Irvine Open. For the year was 24th on the money list with earnings of 200,923,495won ($155,853).
2022 Notes: Started the year on the Japan Golf Tour playing four events:
T-31st at the Token Homemate Cup
T-34th at the Kansai Open
Missed the cut at the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan and the Crowns.
On the Korean Tour:
T-48th at the Woori Financial Group Championship
Missed the cut at the KB Finance LIIV Championship, SK Telecom Open, and KPGA Championship.
T-41st at the Hana Bank Invitational
2nd at the Kolon Korea Open, he lost in the playoff with Minkyu Kim. Despite the loss got into the Open by the two slots they gave exemptions at the Kolon Korea Open.
