Missie Berteotti

Berteotti grew up playing golf at Valley Brook Country Club with her father and best friends and knew as she says 'in my bones that my future would involve the game of golf.' Berteotti won back-to-back Pennsylvania State Championships from 1980-81. She went to the University of Miami on a golf scholarship and later earned medalist honors at the NCAA Championship.
She turned pro in 1985 and earned an LPGA Tour card on her first attempt. She played full time on the LPGA between 1986 and 1999 playing in 346 events making 223 cuts. She was in the top 10 27 times and won the 1993 Ping/Welch's Championship. Her best year was in 1992 when she won $213,960 to finish 22nd on the LPGA money list after two runner-up finishes and a third-place finish. In her career, she won $1,113,133.
In 1999, she elected to leave the tour to focus on children and her love of teaching, mentoring and developing the mindsets of other young golfers. She opened up the Business Golf Academy and was voted one of the top 10 golf instructors in the state of Pennsylvania. In 2016, Berteotti expanded her career by transitioning into the financial industry by receiving her license as a financial representative as she intends to blend both of her worlds, golf, and finance.
