Randal Lewis

Started playing golf at the age of 16 and credits his friend Steve Robbins for introducing him to the game. Says his most memorable golf experience was winning the 2011 U.S. Mid-Amateur. Is married to his wife, Melanie, and they have two sons, Chris and Nick. Works as a Financial Advisor for Raymond James & Associates. When he's not golfing, Lewis enjoys going upland bird hunting.
Has played in a couple of tournaments in 2014 thus far. Finished 5th in the Senior Division at The Coleman Invitational after shooting a three day total of 218. More recently, he won the Golf Association of Michigan Senior Match Play Championship.
Has played in two U.S. Senior Amateurs and advanced to the 3rd round in 2012. Also has competed in 10 U.S. Amateurs and U.S. Mid-Amateurs. Won the 2011 U.S. Mid-Amateur with a 3 and 2 victory over Kenny Cook at the Shadow Hawk Golf Club in Richmond, Texas. With this victory, he became the oldest winner of this national championship. He was 20 years older than the average age of the previous 30 Mid-Am champions and the second-oldest player to make match play behind a 60-year-old. Inducted into the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame in 2009. Won the Michigan Medal Play Championship in 2006, 2000 and 1994. Won the 1999 and 1992 Michigan Amateur and was a semifinalist at the 1999 U.S. Mid-Amateur. Winner of the 1998 Michigan Mid-Amateur along with the 1996 Golf Association of Michigan Championships. Runner-up at the 1996 U.S. Mid-Amateur at Harford Golf Club in West Harford, Conn. Played in the 1993 U.S. Amateur Public Links and made it to the quarterfinals. Was named the Golf Association of Michigan Player of the Decade for the 1990's. Once played four weeks as a professional golfer on the Florida mini-tours. He was reinstated in 1982.
