Rebecca Artis

Started playing the game of golf around age 10 after watching her father, Keith, who owns a bakery, play at the local course. She credits her family, coach Gary Edwin and school Principal Michael McEntyre as influences on her career.
Was the leading amateur at the 2008 MFS Women's Australian Open as she finished tied for 10th and the 2009 ANZ Masters where she tied for 20th. Won the 2009 NSW Amateur stroke-play Championship and qualified for the '09 Ricoh Women's British Open but missed the cut. Finished 46th at the LET's Final Stage Qualifying School in 2010.
2010 was her rookie season on the LET and she recorded six top-20 finishes, including a season-best tie for 12th at the Open de France Feminin. She participated in 19 tournaments and finished 44th on the Henderson Money List.
During 2011, was bothered by an injury late in the season, but still managed to play in 19 tournaments and finish 70th on the Money List. Had a season-best finish of T12 at the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open.
Played in 22 events and recorded her first two top-10 finishes in 2012. Tied for third at the ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters and tied for eighth at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open.
During the 2013 season, earned her first LET victory at the Helsingborg Open. Rebecca also added three additional top-10 finishes. Posted a career-low 6-under 64 in the final-round of the Lacoste Ladies Open de France and ended the season ranked 16th on the Order of Merit rankings (was the top Australian on Tour).
Has played in four LET events thus far in 2014, with her best finish being a tie for 13th at the VOLVIK RACV Ladies Masters. Has also played in eight Symetra Tour events and posted two top-10 finishes: a tie for ninth at the Symetra Classic and a season-best tie for sixth at the Friends of Mission Charity Classic where she ended the tournament at 1-under par.
Married her long-term boyfriend and caddie Geoff Artis in February 2012. When she's not playing golf, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family and friends and going to the beach.
