Started playing golf at the age of 14...Credits her father as the individual most influencing her career...Hobbies include attending the theater, going to the movies and traveling...After three attempts at the LPGA Qualifying Tournament, qualified for the LPGA Tour by placing third on the 2001 Futures Tour money list...Played as Jung Yeon Lee from 2002-04.
From 1998-2001, competed on the Korean LPGA, where she won the 1999 SBS Championship.
In 2001, while competing on the Futures Tour, recorded nine top-10 finishes in 19 tournaments, including back-to-back wins at the Innerform Golf Challenge and Futures Golf Classic at Green Mountain National; finished third on the Futures Tour money list to earn exempt status for the 2002 LPGA season.
In 2002, best finish was fifth place at the LPGA Corning Classic.
In 2003, best finish was a tie for second at the Longs Drugs Challenge.
In 2004, opened the year with a career-low 60 at the Welch's/Fry's Championship, the second-lowest score and the lowest first-round score in LPGA history, and eventually tied for second; also tied for second at the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship.
In 2005, best finish was a tie for 16th at the Corona Morelia Championship; did not compete in August or September due to a left thumb injury.
In 2006, recorded a career-best second at the Safeway International, where she recorded her first LPGA career hole-in-one in the opening round; crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings with a tie for 10th at the Longs Drugs Challenge.
In 2007, tied her career-best runner-up finish at the Sybase Classic; tied a Tour-record for low nine-hole score in relation to par with a 28 (-8) on the front nine during the second round of the Corona Championship; recorded her second LPGA career hole-in-one in the final round of the Samsung World Championship, where she tied for 10th.
In 2008, best finish was a tie for 25th at the HSBC Women's Champions.
In 2009, best finish was a tie for seventh at the season-opening SBS Open at Turtle Bay; carded a season-low 65 in the first round of the LPGA Corning Classic.
