Stan Souza

Souza was introduced to the game of golf by his father, a standout baseball player while in the military and a golfer. He played his collegiate golf at Brigham Young University, where he received honorable mention All-American recognition and was a teammate of Bobby Clampett.
Souza advanced to the semifinals of the 1976 U.S. Amateur Championship. In 1977, he became the first native Hawaiian to compete in the Masters. His professional tournament appearances include the Sonny Open, Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic and the Bing Crosby National Pro-Amateur.
Souza had a total hip replacement six month ago. He looked at Senior Open qualifying as a type of therapy to get out and start playing again.
He currently works in sales at Hilton Grand Vacations.
