Sue Ginter

Ginter started playing golf at the age of 10. She captured both the Wisconsin State Junior and Wisconsin State Amateur titles. As a competitor on the University of Texas golf team, she was voted the team MVP in 1986, was a member of the All-Southwest Conference in 1986 and 1988 Women's Open Championships as an amateur.
After turning professional, Ginter won seven tournaments on the Futures (now Symetra) Tour and held the tour's 36-hole scoring record of 15-under par. She also won state open titles in Wisconsin, Florida and Connecticut and played on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour and the Ladies European Tour. In 1997, finished T21 at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 1998 season.
Played full-time between 1998 and 2001. Got married in 2002, then played full-time in 2003. Competed in 139 LPGA events, making 50 cuts. She had two top-tens, finishing 5th in the 1999 Michelob Light Classic and T8 at the 2002 CN Canadian Women's Open. She won $240,457 on the LPGA Tour.
Ginter had a son in 2004 and decided to spend more time at home instead of playing on the LPGA Tour. In 2005, she worked as the media director of the West Coast Ladies Golf Tour before starting to teach. Was the golf professional at Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton, Conn. between 2006 and 2013 before moving down to Florida. Was a teaching professional at Jupiter Hills Club between 2014 and 2016. As a member of the PGA of America, she has three top-five finishes in the LPGA National Club Professional Championship. She won the 2015 Women's Stroke Play Championship. At the same time she was also studying Real Estate, and in June of 2015 became a real estate salesperson for Waterpointe Realty Group. In 2016, she was elected to the Wisconsin Golf Hall of Fame.
Ginter played in the 2017 Senior LPGA Championship and finished T31. In the 2018 Senior LPGA Championship she finished T44.

Ginter shot 83-81=164 (+18) to miss the cut in the inaugural U.S. Senior Women's Open.
