Suzy Whaley

Whaley is the current Vice President of the PGA of America and will become the first female President of the organization in November of this year. Whaley is known as a distinguished LPGA Teaching and Club Professional with a PGA Master Professional title. She competed on the LPGA Tour in 1990 and 1993. In 2003 Whaley became the first woman to qualify for a PGA Tour event since Babe Zaharias in 1945. She is the only woman to compete in the Julius Boros Challenge Cup Matches and she was also the first woman to win a PGA individual professional tournament. As a junior Whaley was the first girl to compete on the Jamesville-DeWitt High School boys golf team and later went on to play golf on the women's team at the University of North Carolina.
