Terry Foreman

Started playing golf at age 10. His father would take him to the driving range to hit golf balls before baseball games to help develop his hand and eye coordination. Foreman started playing seriously at age 15, while a freshman in high school.
Played in several USGA championships: 1981, 1982, 1983 and 2001 U.S. Amateur (sectional medalist twice), 2004 U.S. Mid-Amateur, 2014 USGA Senior Amateur. Was a quarterfinalist at the 1983 British Amateur Championship at Turnberry. Made it to the Round of 16 at the 1982 British Amateur.
He was the 2015 Northern California Golf Association Senior Four-Ball Champion; 2012 NCGA Senior Match Play champion; runner-up at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 NCGA Senior Match Play Championship; the 2004, 2005, 2006 NCGA Masters Four-Ball Champion; and 1977 NCGA Public Links Champion.
He turned pro in 1983 and played on the European Tour in 1984 and 1985. His amateur status was reinstated in 1998.
Foreman had a 30-year law enforcement career before retiring in 2009. He was on the SWAT Team for 13 years and has also served as a field training officer and drug abuse resistance education officer. He has received several awards from the state, county and city for his involvement with children. He ran two marathons to help raise money for children with cancer.
Currently works part time security for Levi Stadium during San Francisco 49ers football games and also serves as a part-time executive protection security detail.
He enjoys football, basketball and baseball and his hobbies include coaching his son's baseball team and going to Disneyland. In four years of high school, his team never lost a football game.
His immediate family members include his wife, Phyllis, and son, Hunter. His mother, Dena, whom Foreman calls his "biggest fan," passed away in 2011. Her ashes are on the 12th tee at Spyglass Hill, her favorite hole in golf.
