Wichanee Meechai

Meechai started playing golf when she was 13. She has won several times in Asia and has played on the China LPGA, the Taiwan LPGA, the Ladies Asian Tour, and the Thai LPGA. Her nickname is Jan.
Meechai came to the United States to play the Symetra Tour in 2016 after narrowly missing her LPGA Tour card by finishing T-22nd at LPGA Qualifying Tournament in 2015. Her early-season breakthrough came at the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women's Health Classic when she finished second. She went on to post 4 top-10 finishes in her first 6 starts and was well on her way. Meechai left no doubt by finishing 2nd at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge and the Garden City Charity Classic. Finished 4th on the Volvik Race to earn LPGA Membership for the 2017 season
2017 Notes: Played in 21 LPGA events and made 8 cuts. Recorded her first top-10 finish of her career at the Cambia Portland Classic. Was 106th on the money list forcing her back to Q-School. Finished T-32nd at the 2017 Final Qualifying Tournament to earn Priority List Category 17 for the 2018 LPGA Tour season.
2018 Notes: Played in 26 LPGA Tour events making 17 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Best finish T-7th at the ShopRite Classic and T-9th at the Marathon Classic. Was 82nd on the money list with $188,841.
2019 Notes: Played in 21 LPGA Tour events making 17th cuts. Was 112th on the money list with $98,166 in earnings and finished 108th on the CME points list. Best finish T-17th at the ISPS Handa Vic Open. Went back to Qualifying school and finished T-11th in the LPGA Q-series.
2020 Notes: Played in six LPGA events making four cuts. Was 124th on the money list with $28,248 in earnings and was 120th on the CME points list. Best finish T-11th at the ISPS Handa Vic Open (Woman). Played most of her golf in Asia for fear of COVID-19. She won the Singha-SAT Thai LPGA Championship beating Chanettee Wannasan in a playoff.
2021 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA Tour events making 17 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 60th on the CME Points list and 54th on the money list with earnings of $406,770. Was T-5th at the Pure Silk Championship, five shots back of winner Wei-Ling Hsu. T-8th at the ISPS Handa World Womans, five shots back of the Pajaree Anannarukarn/Emma Talley playoff. Ended her season T-24th at the CME Group Tour Championship.
2022 Notes: Was T-10th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Ruixin Liu. Was T-8th at the Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open, the high finish qualified her for the AIG Women's Open.
