Brian Mogg

Mogg, a graduate of Ohio State University, where he was an All-American in 1983. He turned professional in 1983 and joined the PGA Tour in 1986, keeping his tour status until 1990. In his first year on the tour, Mogg played in 31 events, making the cut in seven of them and earning $9,352. He played in only three in 1987, missing the cut in all of them before playing in 28 in 1988. He made the cut seven times that year, scoring two top-25 finishes, including a runner-up at the Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic. He made $34,092 in 1988. He would play just eight more times in his career on the PGA Tour after that season, making the cut in two events.
He joined the Web.com Tour shortly thereafter, and played in 24 events in 1990, making the cut 11 times. Three times he finished inside the top-10, including a T-5th at the Ben Hogan Buffalo Open, T-6th at the Ben Hogan South Texas Open and T-9th at the Ben Hogan Reno Open. He played a total of 30 times on the Web.com Tour, making the cut 15 of them and finishing with six top-25s.
While playing in Asia and Europe, Mogg scored top-10 finishes in 11 different countries.
In USGA championships, Mogg qualified for the U.S. Junior three times, reaching the quarterfinals in 1978. He played three times in the U.S. Amateur as well, reaching match play in 1980, 1982 and 1983. His one appearance at the U.S. Open was in 1995.
Now, Mogg is the Director of Instruction at the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. He has been listed as a Top 100 Teacher by Golf Magazine from 2004-2018, and a Golf Digest Top 50 Instructor almost every year since 2010. His students have wins on the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions, Web.com Tour and LPGA Tour. He has worked at seven academies around the world, including in Canada and Korea.
Mogg competed in the 2016 U.S. Senior Open and finished T-54th with a 15-over par score of 295. In 2017 he finsihed 34th at the Taylor Made Pebble Beach Invitational and and 63rd at the Champions Tour Boeing Classic.
Mogg currently plays in multiple corporate and client events to keep his game sharp.
Enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids, one of which will be his caddie this week.
