Jeff LeMaster

Jeff LeMaster picked up the game of golf at a young age. He played in the AJGA and in 1981 was named first team All-America. He played all four years in high school, earning All-State his junior and senior year. As a junior, he was the No. 1 ranked high school player in his state and received the Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Award, which is awarded to outstanding high school golfers in Ohio. He received a scholarship offer from Ohio State University, where he spent two years before transferring to Florida State University. He was a Big 10 Champion at Ohio State in 1983. Named All-Metro Conference senior of the year at FSU in 1986. He turned professional in 1987. Has a total of 29 professional victories, mostly on mini tours. Traveled all around the world while playing on the Canadian Tour, Hogan Tour and Nike Tour (now Web.com Tour) for 18 years.
Will be playing in his third USGA Championship, this is his first Senior Open. Played in back-to-back U.S. Amateurs in 1984 and 1985). His father, Leon has played in a U.S. Senior Open, where LeMaster caddied for him. They teed off behind Jack Nicklaus. Married to wife, Michelle, for 18 years. She is a three-time world cutting horse champion, twice in 2010 in different classes and once in 2015. His wife?s horse trainer will be caddying for him this weekend.
