Dave Coupland

As a young 21 year-old, Coupland shot the "round of his life," a eight under 65 on the Monifieth course in Open qualifying, getting a spot to play in the 2007 Open Championship at Carnoustie. He shot 79-74 to miss the cut, but it looked like it was the start of his golfing career. After his first break, time went by without Coupland achieving anything. Since turning pro in 2012 Coupland has played all around europe in mini-tour events and the Challenge Tour.
He has tried to qualify for the European tour every year since 2010 and in 2014 he was able to secure a Challenge Tour card. He played in 22 events making 15 cuts and had 3 top-10 finishes, T-9th Open Blue Green Cotes, T-3rd in the Belgian Challenge Open and T-2nd at the Turkish Airlines Challenge. In Turkey he shot 73-74 over the weekend to finish 2 back of winner Oliver Farr, he went on to finish 39th on the order of merit earning euro51,910.
2015 Notes: Played 17 Challenge Tour events making 7 cuts with 2 top-10s, T-8th at the Northern Ireland Open and T-5th at the Fred Olsen Challenge de Espana. He finished 77th on the order of merit. Played in 4 European Tour events making one cut, T-11th Lyoness Open.
