Gerry Norquist

Advanced to the match play round in the 1987 U.S. Mid-Amateur and played in the 1988 U.S. Amateur.
In 1989, won the Northwest PGA Assistants Championship. Was the 1990 El Junko Open Champion. Named Asian Tour Rookie of the Year in 1991. Won the 1993 Malaysian Open. Palm Springs Open Champion in 1994. Won the Royal Perak Classic Championship in 1995. Captured the Omega Asian PGA Championship in 1995. In 1997, won the Guam Open, the Taiwan PGA Championship, and the Taiwan Masters. Won the 1998 Volvo Asian Match Play Champion. Won the 1999 Malaysian Open Champion. 2002 Sedona Open Championship. Won the 2004 Sedona Open Championship.
A professional golfer since 1989, Gerry has played regularly on the Asian Tour, European PGA Tour, Japan Tour, Canadian Tour, South American Tour and in many international events around the world. On the European Tour played in 54 events, won the 1999 Malaysian Open and was runner-up at the 2000 Brazil Sao Paulo 500 years Open. A winner of thirteen international tournaments, including the Malaysian Open twice, his career in Asia included roles as a Player Representative to the Board of Directors on both the Asian PGA and Asian Tours and he was one of the four original founding members of the Asian Tour, formed in 2004. In 2006, Gerry took the role of Sr. Vice President of the Asian Tour until November 2008, when he started coaching. In 2009, Gerry was named Head Coach of the Thailand National Golf Team, a position he kept until he started playing the European Senior Tour in June 2012. Best finish was first at the Thailand Senior Open in 2013. Moved back to the United States after two years on the European Senior Tour and now plays for fun with his family. Has 4 children ages 24, 19, 7, and 5.
Works as a caddie at Whisper Rock in Arizona and North Shore Country Club in Chicago.
