Hurly Long

Grew up in Germany as the son of a golf professional. You had an extensive junior golf background, including participating as a member of the German Junior National Team. Being half-American and having grown up around the military made the switch to suddenly living in the United States to attend Texas Tech, let alone Texas, a lot easier. There were certainly a lot of cultural differences, but he loved both of his homes. Attended Texas Tech University from 2015-18 after attending the University of Oregon in 2014/15. Set a course-record 61 at Pebble Beach as he went on to win the 2017 Carmel Cup in a playoff. Represented Germany three times at the Eisenhower Trophy.
Long turned professional at the start of 2019 and played on the Pro Golf Tour in his first year as a professional. He had a successful season, winning the Raiffeisen Pro Golf Tour St. Polten in July after a final round of 60. During the season, he was also runner-up three times, third twice, and had 7 other top-10 finishes. He won the Order of Merit and gained a place on the Challenge Tour for 2020.
2020 Notes: Played in ten Challenge Tour events making 7 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Ranked 8th in the Road to Mallorca with winnings of euro65,241. Earned his first Challenge Tour title at the Italian Challenge Open Eneos Motor Oil. Also played in ten DP World Tour events, best finish of T-16th at the Italian Open.
2021 Notes: Played in 22 Challenge Tour events making 18 cuts with six top-ten finishes. Secured promotion to the DP World Tour for 2022 after finishing 17th on the Challenge Tour's Road to Mallorca Rankings. Best finish 2nd at the Challenge de Cadiz, four shots back of winner Kristof Ulenaers.
2022 Notes: Played in 27 DP World Tour events making 21 cuts with eight top-ten finishes. Was 27th on the Race to Dubai with earnings of euro978,623. Best finishes, T-2nd at the Magical Kenya Open, T-3rd at the Ras al Khaimah Championship, 4th at the Barbasol Championship, T-5th at the Portugal Masters, and T-6th at the Betfred British Masters.
2023 Notes: Best finish T-29th at the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mix. Also, T-30th at the Singapore Classic, Magical Kenya Open, and the Veritex Bank Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour.
