John Senden

Senden was a regular competitor on the PGA Tour of Australasia and has spent time playing in Asia. In Europe, he won twice on the second-tier Challenge Tour in 1998 and was a member of the European Tour from 1999 to 2001. He won twice on European Challenge Tour in 1998. He earned a Tour card on his first trip to the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament finals in 2001. Since 2002, he has consistently finished in the top 125 on the PGA Tour and in the top 50 on the money list five times. Won the 2006 John Deere Classic. If he weren't playing golf, he said he would be "working on the sheep and cattle station owned by the in-laws."
2010 Notes: Completed the season T-15th or better in six of the final seven events. Ranked 50th in the FedExCup race and 69th on the money list.
2011 Notes: Made 20 of 26 cuts and recorded a career-best 14 top-25 finishes. Enjoyed a personal-best 13th in the final FedExCup standings and 33rd on the money list.
2012 Notes: Made 19 of 22 cuts and had five top 10s. The best finish was 4th at the John Deere Classic. I finished 30th in the FedExCup and 42nd on the money list.
2013 Notes: For the first time since 2003, didn't have a top-10 finish. Their best result was T-15th at the U.S. Open. He finished 109th in the FedExCup standings and 120th on the money list, his highest earnings rank since joining the PGA Tour. They opened with a 1-over-par 73 at the Australian Open but rebounded with rounds of 68-70-66 to finish 3rd.
2014 Notes: Finished T-4th at the McGladrey Classic, two shots behind champion Chris Kirk. In his 11th start at the Valspar Championship, where he collected runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2008, Senden posted rounds of 64-70 on the weekend to win by one shot over Kevin Na for the second time on the PGA Tour. It ended a victory drought of six years, eight months dating back to the 2006 John Deere Classic. He had two more top 10s, T-8th at Masters and T-5th at Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Closed with rounds of 67-66 to finish T-5th at the Deutsche Bank Championship (four strokes behind winner Chris Kirk), moving from 28th to 16th in the FedExCup standings. Following a T-23rd at the BMW Championship, he advanced to the Tour Championship, finishing 26th. He was 23rd in the final FedExCup rankings and 25th on the money list. He finished T-23rd at the Australian Open and T-9th at the Australian PGA Championship.
2015 Notes: In his second start of the PGA Tour season, he was 7th at the CIMB Classic. He got his next top ten at the WGC-Cadillac Match Play finishing T-5th; he got to the quarterfinals losing to Gary Woodland, 5 and 3. Next week, he finished T-8th at the Players Championship. After finishing T-14th at the U.S. Open flew to Japan and was T-8th at the Handa Global Cup. He played in a total of 24 events and made the cut in 16 of them. They had 3 top-10s, finished 73rd in the FedExCup race, and 69th on the money list. Played in the three Australian Tour events in November/December, was T-2nd two shots back of winner Peter Senior at the UNIQLO Masters. Added a T-13th at the Emirates Australian Open and a T-48th at the Australian PGA Championship.
2016 Notes: He played in 28 PGA Tour events making 16 cuts with one top-10 finish at the Honda Classic. He finished 88th in the FedExCup rankings.
He played on the PGA Tour for the next couple of years but didn't make another top-ten finish. In 2017 he gave up playing on the PGA Tour because his 13-year-old son Jacob was battling a brain Tumor which he is still battling today. Senden has played in 473 PGA Tour events, making 318 cuts with 43 top-ten finishes. He did win twice, in the 2006 John Deere Classic and the 2014 Valspar Championship. Senden has $21,627,358 in career earnings.
2020 & 2021 Notes: Played in 13 PGA Tour Champions events with one top-tens and finished 84th in the Charles Schwab Cup. Senden just turned 50 and played his first event in the 2021 Insperity Invitational finishing T-56th. The following week was T-29th at the Regions Tradition. Shot a final-round 65 at Sanford International for a T-7th, his season's best finish.
2022 Notes: Played in 19 PGA Tour Champions events, was 79th in the Scchwab ranking, and 79th on the money list with earnings of $114,137. Best finish T-30th at the ClubCorp Classic.
2023 Notes: Best finish T-49th at the Cologuard Classic.
