Marc Farry

Introduced to the game of golf at age seven, by his father, a restaurateur. Not enthusiastic at first, but caught the bug seven years later. Turned professional at age 20 and spent the first four years of his career as a teaching professional in Florida. Helped France pull off a shock in 1990 Alfred Dunhill Cup, beating Mark Calcavecchia as the United States team went down to defeat. Has suffered from back problems on and off during his professional career, but finally made the big breakthrough in 1996 when he won the BMW International Open in Munich. Four top-10 finishes in 1999 took him into the top-50 in the Volvo Order of Merit for the only time in 15 years to date on The European Tour.
Recorded five top-10 finishes in 2011 including his joint best performance of the season ? tied fourth - in defence of the Cannes Mougins Masters. His victory at Cannes Mougins the previous year was a special one for the Frenchman who co-organised the event and it made up for narrowly missing out on winning his national Open on the European Tour. His maiden victory on the Senior Tour came four months earlier in similarly rainy conditions when he triumphed in the Handa Irish Senior Open presented by Fáilte Ireland.
