CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Claimed his fifth career title with a wire-to-wire win at the Tianjin TEDA Open Presented by Rolls-Royce in China in 2004. The victory came exactly five years after he won the title when it was last staged in 1999. Also posted tied fourth finish in Omega Hong Kong Open. Won the Putting Average category in 2004 with 1.55 putts per round average. Has also played in Japan in recent years, finishing 57th on the money last season. Achieved a career high by holing the putt that sealed Asia's victory over Japan in the inaugural Phoenix Dynasty Cup Presented by Visa at Mission Hills, China in 2003 and had top-five finishes at the Carlsberg Malaysian Open, Mercuries Masters and Volvo Masters of Asia the same year. Enjoyed by far his best season in 1996 with two victories - The Singha Thai Prasit Bangkok Open and Tugu Pratama PGA Championship in Indonesia. Captured the Pakistan Masters title in 1997 and won the Tianjin TEDA Open in China two years later. In 1996, he finished second in the Pakistan Steel Masters and was runner-up in the Sabah Masters in 1997. Played in the World Cup in Argentina with cousin Chawalit Plaphol and finished 17th. Came close to victory in 2002 at the Maekyung LG Fashion Open in Korea but was pushed to second place by amateur star Eddie Lee. Was also denied at the Hero Honda Masters in India the same year. Shot the lowest round on Thai PGA Tour in 2002 with a 12-under-par 60, the year he topped the domestic money list. Making his British Open debut in 2005.

PERSONAL: The Thai star normally keeps two drivers in his bag, one for distance and one for accuracy. He comes from a family of golfers, with five brothers being professional golfers as well. He is a natural left-hander but switched to playing golf right-handed as �??my brothers would knock me in the head to swing it like them.�?� Grew up near a golf course in Chonburi and started playing the game in his early teens.
