Aditi Ashok

Aditi Ashok credits her parents as having the most influence on her career. Aditi started playing golf at age five. She played her first round of 18 holes at the age of six years and 2 months. She is the only daughter of her parents, Mash and Ashok, and attended The Frank Anthony Public School. Her name (a-di-ti) is of Sanskrit origin and means "Boundless." In Hindu cosmology, Aditi is the mother of the gods.
She is a three-time back-to-back India Junior Champion (2012, 2013, 2014) and a two-time India Women's Amateur Champion (2011, 2014). During her last year as an amateur, she won the St. Rule Trophy and the 2015 Ladies British Amateur Open Stroke Play Championship in Leeds at age 17, winning by five strokes over Olivia Mehaffey. She also won the 2015 Thailand Amateur and was runner-up in the European Ladies Amateur.
She qualified for the Ladies European Tour at the end of 2015 and won twice as a rookie in the Qatar Ladies Open and Hero Women's Indian Open in 2016. In 13 Ladies European Tour starts, she had seven top-10 finishes and was second on the LET money list, taking the Tour's Rookie of the Year honor. She represented India in the 2016 Olympic Games, finishing 41st. After the season, she was T24 at LPGA Qualifying School to earn conditional status on Tour in 2017.
In 2017, she played in 7 LET events and won the FBM Ladies Open. She also won euro92,149 and was 7th on the Order of Merit. That same year she played in 21 LPGA Tour events making 14 cuts with one top-ten. Her best finish was T8 at the Marathon Classic. She was 84th on the LPGA money list as a rookie.
2017 Notes: Played in 7 LET events in 2018. Her best finish was T5 at the Estrella Damm Ladies Open. She was 24th in the Order of Merit. She also played in 24 LPGA events making 17 cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was T-6th at the Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Classic and finished T-7th at the LPGA Mediheal Championship. She earned $259,148 and was 69th on the money list and 74th in the CME race.
2018 Notes: Played in 24 LPGA Tour events making 17 cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was 69th on the money list with $259,148 in earnings and 69th on the CME points list. Her two top-ten finishes happened in back-to-back weeks, first T-7th at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship and T-6th at the Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Classic. Played in 6 LET events and was in the top-ten three times. Best finish T-5th at the Estrella Damm Ladies Open, and she was 24th on the Order of Merit.
2019 Notes: Played in 7 LET events and finished 4 times in the top-10. Was T-2nd at the Andalucia Open De Espana, one shot back of winner Anne Van Dam. She was 2nd at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open, one shot back of winner Esther Henseleit. She was 13th on the Order of Merit. On the LPGA Tour, she played in 22 events making 13 cuts and finishing 89th on the money list with $147,579 in earnings. Her best finish was T-13th at the CP Women's Open.
2020 Notes. Played in 8 LET events with a best finish of T-6th at the Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic. She was 26th in the Race to Costa Del Sol. She only played in five LPGA events and made the cut once, finishing T-49th at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. She spent the tour's hiatus at home in India, and didn't play much golf. She spent time at home reading and watching movies but admitted to worrying about her lack of practice time. She did practice on the roof of her family home, hitting off a mat and into a curtain.
2021 Notes: Played 20 LPGA events making 12 cuts with three top-ten finishes. She was 74th on the CME Points list and 74th on the money list, with earnings of $231,225. She was T-3rd at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Pajaree Anannarukarn, they were five shots back of winners Moriya Jutanugarn and Ariya Jutanugam. She was a member of the Indian women's Olympic team and finished 4th, just a shot from the Mone Inami/Lydia Ko playoff for the silver and bronze medals. She was T-8th at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship and ended the season with a T-6th finish at the Pelican Womens Championship. Shot 65-64 over the weekend and was three shots back of the playoff won by Nelly Korda.
2022 Notes: Played in 26 LPGA events making 15 cuts. She was 99th on the CME Points list and 98th on the money list, with earnings of $178,900. Her best finish was in her first start of the season, T-13th at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio. She ended her season missing the cut at the Pelican Womens Championship. She finished 4th in the Hero Indian Open on the LET, finishing six shots back of winner Olivia Cowan.
2023 Notes: She played early on the LET, in her first start, and won the Magical Kenya Ladies Open. She won by nine shots over Alice Hewson and April Angurasaranee. Next week was 3rd at the Lalla Meryem Cup, five shots back of winner Maja Stark. A week after was 2nd at the Saudi Ladies International, a shot back of winner Lydia Ko. On the LPGA missed the cut in her first three starts before finishing T-2nd at the JM Eagle LA Championship. She lost a playoff to Hannah Green when she was eliminated on the first extra hole. Her next start was T-5th at the Cognizant Founders Cup. She was T-4th at the Mizuho Americas Open, two shots out of the Rose Zhang/Jennifer Kupcho playoff. She was T-8th at the Meijer LPGA Classic and T-7th at the Dana Open.
