Amy Olson

Olson won the Minnesota Players Cup in the 13-15 girls division in 2005 and 2006. Her brother was the boys' champion in 2006 at the same event. Won the 2009 PGA Junior Series 16-18 girls' division by 16 strokes. Became the first female to advance to the championship flight of the Pine-to-Palm tournament in Detroit Lakes, Minn. Won the 2009 U.S. Girls' Junior at Trump National in Bedminster, N.J., and was medalist in stroke play. Defeated Kimberly Kim in the final, 6 and 5. Her maiden name is Anderson.
Advanced to the second round of match play in the U.S. Girls' Junior in 2008. Played in the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2009 and 2010, reaching the round of 64 both times. She advanced to Round 32 in the 2011 and 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur. Also a member of the 2012 U.S. Curtis Cup team.
Has had a stellar first two years at North Dakota State, winning five tournaments in each season, including a win at the Summit League Championship by five strokes. Named Summit League Golfer of the Year and All-Summit League first team in 2010 and 2011. Named Division I second-team All-American selection in 2011 and honorable mention in 2010. NCAA Elite 88 award winner as student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the national championship site (4.0) in 2011. Qualified for the NCAA Division I National Championship individually two years in a row, and her tie for 12th in 2011 was the highest finish in the event for a player in Summit League history. Named Summit League Newcomer of the year in 2010.
As a junior, she was named the Summit League Player of the Year and won the Summit League Championships for the second year in a row. She won five times, tying her school record, and advanced to the NCAA Championships, finishing T-16th. The Dinah Shore Trophy Award from the LPGA Foundation was the winner and placed 2nd at the World University Golf Championships in the Czech Republic.
Anderson made the cut in the 2011 U.S. Women's Open and finished 63rd.
She won five more times as a senior, including the Summit League Championship for a third time in a row. She finished 26th in the NCAA West Regional and Summit League Golfer of the Year for the fourth time.
After graduation, Anderson earned medalist honors at the LPGA Stage II Qualifying and earned her card when she finished 4th in the final stage.
2014 Notes: Anderson played in 20 events and made nine cuts, earning $129,742, good enough for 80th on the money list with a T-7th at the LPGA Lotte Championship presented by J Golf.
2015 Notes: She made 14 cuts in 21 events, earning $131,282, 82nd on the money list. She also notched one top 10. She became a certified public accountant on March 11, 2015.
2016 Notes: Played in 19 LPGA events making 6 cuts. Best finish T-25th at the Cambia Portland Classic. She made $47,329 and was 119th on the money list.
2017 Notes: Played in 22 LPGA events making 15 cuts. Best finish T-19th at the Indy Women in Tech Championship. She made $112,075 and was 97th on the money list. In June got married to Grant Olson, the linebackers coach for North Dakota. Olson had played previously with her maiden name of Anderson.
2018 Notes: Played in 24 LPGA events making 19 cuts with four top-tens. Best was T-2nd at the Evian Championship. Olson led after the 2nd and 3rd rounds and led most of the final round. On the 18th tee in the final round, had a one-shot lead, drove poorly, and made a double bogey, and Angela Stanford won by a shot. The runner-up finish was her career-best at the time. She finished 37th on the money list with $580,873 and was 20th in the Race to CME.
2019 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA Tour events making 18 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Was 7th on the money list with $763,832 in earnings and placed 54th on the CME points list. Started the season with a T-10th finish at the ISPS Handa Australian Open. Was T-5th at the HSBC Women's Champions, five shots back of winner Sung Hyun Park. Finished T-7th at the CP Women's Open.
2020 Notes: Played in 16 LPGA Tour events making 13 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Was 37th on the money list with $335,819 in earnings and finished 8th on the CME points list. She was 2nd at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open, she was three shots back of winner InBee Park. She was T-2nd at the U.S. Women's Open. Took the first-round lead with a 67, dropped back a bit with a 72-71, and went into the final round just a shot back. Olson had the final round lead late in the round, but a combination of a bogey at 14 by Olson and A Lim Kim making birdies at 16, 17 & 18 to beat Olson and Jin Young Ko by a shot.
2021 Notes: Played in 22 LPGA events making 17 cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 51st on the CME Points list and 46th on the money list earning $444,948 in earnings. She finished T-2nd at the KIA Classic, she finished five shots back of InBee Park. It was Olson's fourth runner-up finish without a victory. Ended her season with a T-31st finish at the CME Group Tour Championship.
2022 Notes: Best finish T-21st at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Katherine Kirk. Individually her best finish is T-24th at the Meijer LPGA Classic.
