Brittany Altomare

Brittany Altomare started playing golf at the age of ten. She played the U.S. Women's Open in 2009 at age 18, despite missing the cut, she dedicated the week to her late grandfather, Nick, who died shortly before the event. She notes that playing with Lorena Ochoa in a practice round at the 2009 Women's Open is one of her fondest golf memories. As a junior, she won the 2005 Scott Robertson, the 2006 Westfield Junior PGA Championship, and the 2008 North and South Girls Junior, and was a three-time Massachusetts Junior Girls' champion. She also played collegiate golf at the University of Virginia, where she recorded three victories, was named the 2013 ACC Player of the Year and was a four-time All-America.
Altomare won the 2012 Massachusetts Women's Open, played in the 2011 Women's U.S. Amateur, was a quarterfinalist in the 2011 Women's Amateur Public Links Championship, and won the 2010 Women's Eastern Amateur, Golfweek Women's Conference Challenge, and The Landfall Tradition. She was runner-up at the 2010 ACC Championship and Fall Preview/Landfall Tradition. During her sophomore year, she and her teammate, Elizabeth Brightwell, represented UVA at the Collegiate Team Championships. She also played in the round of 64 at the 2010 U.S. Women's Amateur, made it to the round of 64 at the 2010 Women's Amateur Public Links, and made it to the round of 16 at the 2009 Women's Amateur Public Links. In 2009, she won the German Junior Masters. She also played in the 2008 Women's Amateur Public Links and U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. She was a member of the 2006 U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team and won the 2006 Junior PGA Championship. Altomare played in the 2006 and 2005 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship and the 2005 U.S. Women's Amateur. She is a three-time All-American and was named to the All-ACC team in all three years as a Cavalier.
She turned professional in May 2013 after finishing T-44th at the 2013 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn Priority List Category 17 for the 2014 LPGA Tour season.
With conditional status on the LPGA Tour, she instead focused on playing on the Symetra Tour, where she finished 16th on that Tournament's money list. She was 22nd on the Symetra Tour money list in 2015. She regained LPGA status for 2016 by finishing T-27th at the 2015 LPGA Tour Qualifying School.
She played in 18 events on the LPGA Tour, making 12 cuts and finishing 85th on the money list. Her best finish was T-11th at the LPGA Volvik Championship. Altomare also played on the Symetra Tour and had her first win at the 2016 Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay.
In 2017 she played in 26 LPGA Tour events making 20 cuts with 3 top-ten finishes, was 30th on the money list, and had the best finish of her career at the Evian Championship, finishing 2nd after losing a playoff to Anna Nordqvist. Altomare came from 5 shots back with a 66 Sunday to tie Nordqvist in the 54-hole, rain-shortened major and then made double bogey on the first playoff hole to lose the title. She also was T3 at the Cambia Portland Classic and T10 at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship.
2018 Notes: Played in 28 LPGA Tour events making 23 cuts with 2 top-ten finishes. She was T-3rd, 8 shots back of winner Nana Hataoka at the NW Arkansas Championship, and was T-2nd at the Buick LPGA Shanghai, 2 shots back of winner Danielle Kang. Earned $511,750 on the money list and was 46th on the LPGA money and 30th in CME points.
2019 Notes: Played in 26 LPGA events making 26 cuts with five top-ten finishes. Was runner-up twice, first T-2nd at the Meijer LPGA Classic a shot back of winner Brooke Henderson. T-2nd at the Volunteers of American Classic, two shots back of winner Cheyenne Knight. Also was 3rd at the Cambia Portland Classic, four shots back of winner Hannah Green. She earned $878,369 and was 26th on the money list, and 16th on the CME points list. Member of the Solheim Cup team with a 2-1-1 record. Won her singles match 5&4 over Jodi Ewart Shadoff.
2020 Notes: Played in 15 events making 12 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Best was T-8th at the LPGA Drive on Championship in Reynolds Lake. She earned $228,702 and was 51st on the money list and 38th on the CME Points list. Had a streak of 39 straight cuts made, which ended at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
2021 Notes: Played in 23 LPGA events making 19 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Was 49th on the CME point list and 44th on the money list with $473,344 in earnings. Was T-9th at the Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play, lost a quarter-final match to Sei Young Kim 2 & 1. Shot 64 in the final round to finish T-3rd at the Meijer LPGA Classic, four shots back of winner Nelly Korda. T-6th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Angel Yin. Ended the season with a T-31st finish at the CME Group Tour Championship. She was named by Pat Hurst as a captainâ??s pick to the U.S. Solheim Cup team and was 2-2-0 in the matches, including a singles win over Carlota Ciganda, 2 and 1. On October 9th, 2021 got married to Steven Stanislawzk in Italy.
2022 Notes: T-4th at the Drive On Championship Crown Colony, finishing five shots back of winner Leona Maguire. Finished T-10th at the LPGA Lotte Championship.
