Casey Danielson

Began playing golf at age 7 because her older sister, Lindsay, was involved in the game. Has competed in the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016 U.S. Women's Amateur. Missed the cut in 2012, 2015 and 2016, but advanced to the quarterfinals in 2011. In 2012 and 2013, she lost in the first round of match play. Also competed in the 2010 and 2011 U.S, Girls' Junior, where she lost in the first round of match play both times.
She was awarded the 2017 Dinah Shore Trophy, which is administered by the LPGA Foundation and presented to a top collegiate female golfer who has made an impact through leadership and community service. Last year, Danielson generated nearly $3,000 for the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford University. She also founded and developed "Birdies for a Cause" in Wisconsin to raise money for local and national non-profit organizations by connecting community pledges with golfer performance. She also received the 2016 Tom Cousins Award at the East Lake Cup in Atlanta, Ga., for her accomplishments in golf, academics and community engagement.
Following her college graduation, Danielson turned pro and earned status on the LET in December, winning Lalla Aicha Tour School in a three-way playoff and earned her card for the 2018 season.
In her first six professional tournament on the LET, she earned a T-2nd at the Women's NSW Open and four top-five finishes.
Danielson helped Stanford claim the 2014 Pac-12 Championship and 2015 NCAA Championship, the first in program history. The Cardinals finished second at the 2016 NCAA Championships. In 2016-17 as a senior, she was chosen Ping/WGCA second team All-American, All-Pac-12 first team, and Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention. She is ranked 16th nationally. Finished in the top-10 eight times in 12 tournaments played, including finishing 2nd at East Lake Cup, T-3rd at Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, and T-3rd at Bruin Wave Invitational.
In 2015-16 as a junior, she was selected Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention and was ranked 86th nationally. She carded five Top-10 finishes and was T-6th at NCAA Championship. Recorded hole-in-one in first round of NCAA Championship, hitting 5-iron to ace No. 14 at Eugene Country Club.
In 2014-15 as a sophomore, she was chosen Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention. Finished T-8th at Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational and T-9th at NCAA Regional Championship.
In 2013-14 as a freshman, she was chosen Global Golf Post All- Amateur honorable mention, Golfweek All-America honorable mention and All-Pac-12 honorable mention. She had four top-10 finishes: T-2nd at Peg Barnard Invitational, 3rd at San Diego State Farms Invitational, T-4th at UC Irvine Invitational, and T-9th at Pac-12 Championship.
She played basketball and golf at Osceola High School, where she was a four-time state individual champion, four-time all-conference, and four-time player of the year. She was a member of the National Honor Society and senior class valedictorian. Her brother, Charlie, played golf for the University of Illinois and competed in the 2016 U.S. Open.
Junior Career: Selected for first team AJGA Rolex All-American, and was a 2012 AJGA Player Representative. Honorable mention for AJGA Presidents' Leadership Award.
