Christi Cano

Started playing golf at the age of 3. Credits her family and the community of San Antonio as the biggest influences on her career. Hobbies include music, playing all sports and being with her friends. Qualified for the LPGA Tour on her first attempt.
She won the Texas State High School Golf Championship twice and was a four-time winner of the San Antonio Women's Amateur Championship(1999-2002).
In 2003, turned professional in November. In 2004, competed in three Futures Tour events. In 2005, played in three Futures Tour events, with a season-best tie for 14th at the Lawrence FUTURES Golf Classic.
Tied for 22nd at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Presented by American Airlines and earned one of the final three exempt cards for the 2006 season after a three-hole, seven-way playoff.
In 2006, posted a career-low 69 in the second round of the Fields Open in Hawaii and in the opening round of the Florida's Natural Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez. Was limited to only nine events this season due to a hand injury.
In 2007, played in 18 events, only made three cuts, best finish T50th at the CN Canadian Women's Open. In 2008, competed in 12 events on the Duramed FUTURES Tour, and tied for sixth at the Bright House Networks Open.
Returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she tied for 29th to earn Priority List Category 20 for the 2009 LPGA season. She was also inducted into the National Hispanic Sports Hall of Fame.
In 2010, she competed again in Q-School but failed to attain her card. She began working full time as a golf professional with the Alamo City Golf Trail in 2011, which she continues to do today.
