Esther Henseleit

Esther Henseleit started to play at the age of 8 when her mother, who was looking for a new hobby, started playing golf and took Esther along. Esther also played tennis but in school took golf over tennis.
She enjoyed a great amateur career, here are some of her accomplishments:
2019: 2nd place Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic, 3rd place Investec SA Women's Open, 3rd place US Women's Open Qualifier, 4th place Lalla Meryem Cup
2018: T3 French International Lady Juniors Championship (Esmond Trophy); 2017: Participation in Junior Solheim Cup (Team Europe);
2016: 3rd place in German International Ladies Amateur Championship, 3rd place in European Team Championship Ladies;
2015: 1st place German championship girl AK 16, 2nd place German championship ladies, 2nd place alliance German Girls Open, 3rd place German International Ladies Amateur Championship;
2014: German Youth Champion, 1st place German championship girls AK 16, 1st place European Young Masters (national rating);
2013: 3rd place Evian Championship Juniors Cup.
From 2014-2018 she was part of the German National Team and represented her country in many European and World Championships. Her amateur career's biggest accomplishment was representing Europe in the 2017 PING Junior Solheim Cup, which she says was a great and memorable experience. The 2018 season was her best, with many top-10 and top-three finishes. She ended the year with a handicap of +7.1, which was believed to be the best-ever recorded handicap in Europe.
In December 2018, Henseleit went to the Ladies European Tour School finals and finished 3rd.
2019 Notes: Played in 19 LET events making 14 cuts. Henseleit made an outstanding start to her professional career, opening with a pair of consecutive top-10 finishes in Australia. She posted nine top-10 finishes in total, including four runner-up finishes at the Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic, La Reserva De Sotogrande, Ladies European Thailand Championship, and Estrella Damm Ladies Open. She saved the best for the last event of the year. She closed the season with a course-record eight-under-par 64 in the year's final round at Vipingo Ridge to come from seven strokes behind Julia Engstrom and win the inaugural Magical Kenya Ladies Open by a shot and clinch the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year titles. At 20 years old, Henseleit became only the third player in the 41-year history of the Ladies European Tour to capture the Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year titles in the same season, following Laura Davies in 1985 and Carlota Ciganda in 2012. She played in her first tournament in America, finishing T-30th at the U.S. Women's Open. Finished T-30th at the LPGA Q-Series to earn status for the 2020 LPGA Tour season
2020 Notes: Made 8 starts on the LET making 7 cuts with one top-ten. Her best finish was T-10th at The Saudi Ladies Team International. She finished the year 31st on the Race to Costa del Sol. On the LPGA Tour, she played in nine events making three cuts. Best finish was T-51st at the ANA Inspiration.
2021 Notes: Played in 19 LPGA events, making 14 cuts with four top-10 finishes, and was 88th on the money list with $435,029. She was 37th on the CME points list. She had consecutive fourth-place finishes with a T-4 at the Volunteers of America Classic and a solo fourth at the Marathon Classic. She was third in the LET's Dubai Moonlight Classic, three back of winner Bronte Law.
2022 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA Tour events making 12 cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 89th in the CME rankings and 88th on the money list with earnings of $224,053. Played in six LET events making six cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was 44th on the Race to Costa Del Sol and 26th on the money list with earnings of euro142,684. She won the LET's Magical Kenya Ladies Open for the second time in four years, finishing at 2-under 286 to beat Marta Sanz Barrio by one shot. Henseleit bogeyed her first hole in the final round but made birdies on five of her next 10 holes to take the lead and won despite two bogeys on her back nine, forcing her to make par on the last hole to secure the win. She also won the tournament in 2019. Also, T-8th at the Amundi German Masters. On the LPGA Tour, she finished T-3rd at the Amazingcre Portland Classic, two shots back of winner Andrea Lee.
2023 Notes: Best LPGA Tour finish, T-13th at the LOTTE Championship. On the LET, her best finish was T-11th at the Lalla Meryem Cup.
