Joo Mi Kim

Started playing golf at the age of 10...Credits her parents as the individuals most influencing her career. Kim finished second in the 2000 World Amateur Championship and placed third at the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship. She was a member of the 1999-2002 Korean National Team and won a gold medal in the 2002 Asian Games.
In 2003, played on the KLPGA and won the Hansol Ladies Open and the Woori Jeung Kwan Classic for her first two international victories.
In 2004, played on the Korea LPGA Tour (KLPGA) and repeated as the Hansol Ladies Open champion; tied for 12th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2005 LPGA season.
In 2005, best finish was fourth place at the Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi; tied for fifth at the Sybase Classic, where she carded a career-low 65 during the second round.
In 2006, became a Rolex First-Time Winner after defeating Lorena Ochoa and Soo Young Moon in a two-hole, sudden-death playoff at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay, where she tied her career-low 65 during the second round; recorded her first LPGA career hole-in-one at the Safeway International.
In 2007, recorded a season-best tie for seventh at the LPGA State Farm Classic; recorded her second LPGA career hole-in-one at the Hana Bank KOLON Championship 2007.
In 2009, best finish was a tie for 18th at the LPGA State Farm Classic; crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings at the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship, where she tied for 27th.
