Julie Piers

Julie's maiden name is Larsen, she started playing golf at the age of 16. Credits Clark Collins, John McPhee, and John Elliott as the individuals most influencing her career. Piers won the 1982 Metropolitan Junior Championship. In 1984, she qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship. She played collegiate golf at Rollins College for four years. In 1990, she won the Futures Team Classic on the Futures Tour. In 1991, she finished T-13th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 1992 season.
Julie played full time on the LPGA Tour between 1992 and 2003, playing in 290 events. She made 165 cuts and finished in the top-10 14 times. In 1995, she won the Rainbow Foods Classic by one stroke. In 1996, she was runner-up at the McDonald's LPGA Championship to Laura Davies, who won by making an 8-footer on the 72nd hole to beat Piers by a shot. Julie's best year on the LPGA was in 1995, when in 28 starts made 23 cuts with the win at the Rainbow Classic and a T-3rd at the LPGA Championship. She won $258,602 and was 22nd on the money list. She has played in some senior events, including the 2017 Senior LPGA Championship when she finished T-57th, and the 2018 LPGA Championship when she was T-41st.

Julie will be playing in the U.S. Senior Women's Open for the first time. Last year she double-bogeyed the last hole in Senior Women's Open qualifying to not advance.
