Lindsey Weaver-Wright

Lindsey started golfing when she was two and fell in love. Shot a 59 on the Apache Course at Desert Mountain during the 2012 Ping Junior Interclub match to become the second female golfer in history to do so, the first being Annika Sorenstam. Ranked as the No. 3 recruit in the nation on the Junior Golf Scoreboard, seventh in the Golfweek Junior Golf Rankings, and 20th in the Polo golf rankings coming out of high school,
Went to Notre Dame and was co-medalist at the 2013 Big East Championship. She transferred to Arizona and in 2015, as a junior, was 2nd at the Pac-12 Championship. She led the Wildcats in scoring average all three seasons.
She turned pro in 2016 and played on the Cactus Tour.
2017 Notes: Played in 22 Symetra Tour events and had 11 top-ten finishes. She won the Guardian Championship and finished 7th on the money list with $76,755.
2018 Notes: In her rookie season on the LPGA Tour played in 8 events and made 5 cuts. Her best finish was T-31st in her first start of the season at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic. Starting in March, she started getting pain, cutting her season in May. Lindsey had a severe case of tendinitis. She had both golf elbow and tennis elbow, causing her forearm to swell to the size of a baseball. The only cure was rest, and as the injury began to affect her performance, Lindsey decided to take a medical leave in May for the remainder of the 2018 season. After five months of not hitting golf balls and spending lots of time in physical therapy, she started playing again and getting ready for 2019.
2019 Notes: She may have gotten rid of the pain, but her game was rusty. Weaver played in 19 events and only made six cuts, her best finish was 37th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Sarah Burnharm. She finished 143rd on the money list with $28,375 and lost her tour card but regained her card by finishing 5th at the LPGA Q-Series.
2020 Notes: Played in 17 LPGA Tour events making 13 cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was 49th on the money list with $273,952 in earnings and 41st on the CME points list. Her best finish was T-8th at the VOA Texas Shootout. At the AIG Women's Open, she got a lot of attention when she decided to take a pull cart instead of a caddy. She started strong and was tied for 4th at Royal Troon but shot 75 in the final round to finish T-19th. During the year, she got engaged to Zach Wright, her caddie. The couple met when they were 12 and dated for a couple of years in high school. They went to different colleges, Wright to LSU while Weaver went to Notre Dame for her freshman year and then on to Arizona and ended up breaking up. They reconnected in December 2017 and have been together ever since. They bought a home in Dallas and plan on a December 2021 wedding in Ohio at Weaver's parents' home.
2021 Notes: Played in 20 LPGA events making 13 cuts with two top-ten finishes. She finished 75th on the CBE Point list and 71st on the money list earning $250,256. Was T-8th a the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship and T-6th at the Cognizant Founders Cup. She got married to pro golfer Zach Wright in November. Wright played on the Korn Ferry Tour from 2019- 2021
2022 Notes: Played in 22 LPGA Tour events, making 13 cuts with one top-ten finishe. She was 81st on the money list with $264,725 in earnings and was 72nd in CME points. Shot a final round 65 and finished 2nd at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, losing to Brooke M. Henderson, who made an eagle on the first playoff hole.
2023 Notes: She waws T-5th at the Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play, losing to Leona Maguire 3 & 2 in the quarterfinals.
