Marilyn Lovander

Started playing golf at the age of 19, and made the turn to professional at 30. Lovander won the 1981-82 Minnesota Public Links Championships. In addition, she competed as an amateur in the 1982 U.S. Women's Open. Before turning pro in 1985, Lovander made her living as a restaurant manager and later by working at a golf club. From 1986-99, competed on the Futures/Symetra Tour where she played in 129 events and was a 10-time winner, player of the year in 1994 and 1997 and still stands and has winnings of $177,644. In 1991, qualified for the LPGA Tour by finishing 3rd at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 1992 LPGA season. Marilyn played full-time on the LPGA Tour in 1992, '93 and between 1998 and 2006. She played in 205 events and made 88 cuts. She had 4 top-ten finishes, her best was T-6th in the 2004 Wendy's Championship for Children. Marilyn won $397,660 on the LPGA Tour.
When she turned 45 in 2000, Lovander became eligible to play in the handful of annual Women's Senior Golf Tour events and has picked up another $208,350 there, including a win at the 2003 WSGT Hy-Vee Classic.
Lovander competed in the 2018 Senior LPGA Championship and finished T-58th.

Marilyn shot 73-76-76-74=299 (+7) to finish T-12th in the first U.S. Senior Women's Open.
