Paphangkorn Tavatanakit

Goes by the nickname Patty. She started playing golf when she was eight years old. She got inspired to play after watching Tiger Woods on TV. Also, her father is a golf fanatic. She was named the 2016 AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year and Rolex Junior First-Team All-American.
After finishing T-2 at the 2017 ANA Junior Inspiration, Tavatanakit played in the ANA Inspiration as an amateur. Named to the Wyndham Cup West Team.
In 2016, won the Rolex Tournament of Champions, the Ping Invitational, runner-up at the Thailand Ladies Amateur Championship, 5th at the Yani Tseng Invitational and T-5th at the Queen Sirikit Cup. She also reached the round of 16 at the 2016 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship and the U.S. Women's Amateur. Tavatanakit also made the round of 32 at the Australian Amateur Championship and T- 42nd at the LPGA Tour's stop in Thailand. She helped the Asia-Pacific Team win the 2016 Patsy Hankins Trophy. She is a member of the Thailand Amateur Ladies Golf Association (TALGA). She attends Keerapat International School, which does not have a golf team.
In 2015, she was named the TALGA Player of the Year for the 2015-2016 season. Won the Los Angeles Junior Open at Hillcrest Country Club and was runner-up at the IMG Junior World Golf Championship. Two-time TJGF Player of the Year in 2015 and 2014. In 2014, she won the Callaway Junior World Golf Championship, breaking the tournament's 54-hole record with a 23-under par 193.
Parents are Tanatat (Father) and Tipayarat (mother).
She will be attending UCLA and will play golf for the Bruins in the 2017-2018 season.
