Rikako Morita

First started playing the game of golf around age 8 and credits her grandfather, who owned and managed a driving range, on introducing her to the sport.
Has been playing on the Japan LPGA Tour since 2012. Had five top-five finishes that year, including a third-place finish at the CyberAgent Ladies where she shot scores of 72-70-65. Also was runner-up at the Chukyo TV Bridgestone Ladies Open when she had three rounds in the 60s (69-68-66).
Had a very impressive and successful 2013 season which resulted in her being the winner of the 2013 Japan LPGA Tour money list. Had 11 top-five finishes, including four wins and two runner-ups. Claimed victories at the Daikin Orchid Ladies, the TV Bridgestone Ladies Open, the Suntory Ladies Open and the Daio Paper Elleair Open. Her runner-up finishes came at the T-Point Ladies Open and the Yonex Ladies Open.
Thus far in 2014, has three top-10 finishes including a win at the T-Point Ladies, where she shot 69-68-71, and a runner-up at the Daikin Orchid Ladies Open. Her Rikako's most recent tournament was the Chukyo TV Bridgestone Ladies Open where she finished T16 after firing rounds of 68-73-73.
When she's not playing golf, Morita enjoys working out, training and playing softball. She sometimes trains with the Hitachi Maxell Women's Softball team. Also enjoys window shopping in her free time. Carries a lucky charm with her at all times that she got from a shrine close to her house. Says her most memorable golf experience is making an eagle putt on the 17th hole of the Daio Paper Elleair Ladies Open which solidified her being the money list leader for the 2013 Japan LPGA Tour season.
