Sue Kim

Sue Kim started playing golf at the age of seven. She grew up in British Columbia, Canada, and established herself as one of the top junior golfers in that province. One of the finest amateur players in Canada, she had two victories back-to-back on the CN Canadian Women's Tour in 2008. At age 18, she became the first amateur to win on the Canadian women's developmental tour and the first player to win two in a row. Also captured two BC Junior Girls titles, two BC Bantam Girls Championships, a Pacific Future Links title, two runner-up finishes at the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship and received the 2008 Player of the Year Award on the CN Canadian Women's Tour. She was the 2009 Pacific Northwest Golf Association Woman's Player of the Year.
Her college career was brief, lasting only one semester as a freshman at the University of Denver before leaving school and moving with her parents to La Quinta, Calif.
She went to LPGA qualifying tournament in December and finished T-91st, giving her status on the Futures Tour for 2011.
She played the last two seasons on the Symetra Tour and recorded four top-10 finishes in 2012.
Kim finished 6th in the 2013 Volvik Race for the Card and earned her LPGA Tour care for 2014.
2014 Notes: Made two cuts in 11 events - T-35th at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic and T-45th at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open.
2015 Notes: She struggled most of the year, making just $15,129 and finishing 145th on the money list. Her best finish was T-54th at the Manulife LPGA Classic. Her status sunk to category 20 for 2016, probably one of the reasons she hasn't played in an events in 2016.
