Susie Redman

When Redman was in the 10th grade and just beginning to realize her golfing talent, her father, Robert Pager, would wake her up and push her out the back door of their home along the 15th hole at Lake Forest Golf Course in Ala. No matter what excuse she came up with for not practicing, her dad would make sure she does her morning ritual.
At the age of 18, Redman was the Golf Digest Girls Junior Player of the Year after winning the National High School All-American tournament and the prestigious North and South Women's Amateur. She turned pro that autumn and, at 19 in 1984, she qualified for the Tour by T45 at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 1985 LPGA season.
