Yealimi Noh

Her parents are South Korean immigrants who own a sushi restaurant in California. She got interested in golf when her father took her out on the course when she was 7. She started competing when she was just 9 years old.
Won the 2017 AJGA Girls Championship, beating Gina Kim by four shots. At the end of the year won the Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship by three shots over Elizabeth Wang.
2018 Notes: Noh had a lot of amateur achievements and a great year. First in April, won the Hana Financial Group Se Ri Pak Junior Championship by 2 shots over Amari Avery. She then won the California Junior Championship beating Madelyn Gamble in the finals. Two weeks later won the Girls Junior PGA Championship, topping Rose Zhang by 4 shots. A week after that won the U.S. Girl's Junior Amateur, beating Alexas Pano 4 & 3 in the finals. The win got her a spot on the USA Team in the Junior Ryder Cup and her thinking about turning pro. The next week, the Canadian Women's Amateur won by a shot over Dylan Kim. Her winning ways ended at the U.S. Women's Amateur when she was beaten in the Round of 32 by Bailey Tardy on the fifth extra hole. Then she played in her first LPGA events finishing T-46th at the CP Women's Open and the T-59th at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship.
2019 Notes: She had committed going to UCLA but changed her mind and turned pro in February. She played in some Symetra Tour events and events in Korea, but Monday qualified for the Thornberry Creek Championship. In her first event, as a pro finished T-6th, she shot rounds of 63-65-69 and was six shots back of winner Shanshan Feng. She missed the cut at the Marathon Classic and the CP Women's Open, and at the Evian Championship was T-44th. She again Monday qualified at the Cambia Portland Classic and, with rounds of 65-68-64, was in 1st place by three shots over Hannah Green. But in the final round, she shot 71 while her playing partner Green shot 67 to beat Noh by a shot. Noh lost the tournament when she made two bogeys on her last three holes. After that played a tournament in Japan and one in Korea before going to LPGA Q-series and finished 3rd to earn her LPGA Tour card.
2020 Notes: Played in 16 LPGA Tour events making 15 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 25th on the money list with earnings of $415,307 and finished 14th on the CME points list. In her first three events before the break for COVID-19, her best finish was T-26th at the ISPS Handa Vic Open. During the break played in three events on the Korean LPGA and her best finish was T-26th at the Lotte Cantata Ladies Open. Returned to the LPGA in August and a month later was T-3rd at the Cambia Portland Classic, a shot back of the Georgia Hall/Ashleigh Buhai playoff. She was T-2nd at the VOA Texas Shootout, just shots back of winner Angela Stanford.
