Hunter Hamrick

Qualified in the Memphis, Tenn., sectional after shooting 67-67. This will be his first U.S. Open and first professional event. Flew directly from the NCAA National Championship in Pacific Palisades, Calif., to his qualifying site. Made it to the round of 32 in the 2007 U.S. Junior Amateur and the round of 64 in 2006. In 2011, he made it to the round of 32 at the U.S. Amateur. He has had six career double eagles and they all have been on the 17th hole of the course he was playing. He placed 21st at the 2012 NCAA Championship in stroke play. At the 2012 NCAA Regionals, he placed 14th. He placed 18th at this year's SEC tournament. He was named to the 2012 SEC 2nd team. In 2010 he was an All-American and was named SEC 1st team. He was a 2009 All-American and earned SEC Freshman Team honors. He loves to fish, duck hunt and go on twitter.
