Player Notes:

Started playing the game at age 10 and credits his dad for introducing him to the sport. Says his most memorable golf experiences are qualifying for the U.S. Open and playing earlier this spring in the RBC Heritage.
Had a very impressive junior golf career while playing at Lexington Christian Academy. Named Kentucky's "Mr. Golf" and Kentucky's Most Outstanding Senior by the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association in 2010. His team won the 2010 Kentucky State Championships and he individually was the runner-up that year and the year prior. Named the Lexington Christian Academy Athlete of the Year and team MVP in 2010. Claimed five individual titles his senior season. Shot a 62 in one round which marked the lowest round in Kentucky High School history; also had the lowest 36-hole total in history (63-70=133) as well. Was runner-up at the 2009 Kentucky Junior and placed 3rd in the 2010 Kentucky State Junior. Was an Academic All-State First-Team selection all four years of high school.
Committed to play golf at Vanderbilt University and averaged 73.8 strokes per round in his freshman season, good for second-best on the team. Posted four top-10 finishes including his best performance when he tied for fourth at the Hummingbird Invitational.
Lowered his stroke average to 72.97 per round his sophomore year and claimed his lone collegiate victory that season at the Samford Intercollegiate where he finished at 5-under par. Tied for 4th at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational and 3rd at the Jim West Intercollegiate.
This past year, had three top-5 finishes and six top-10's out of nine events. Averaged 72.15 per round and finished 4th at the NCAA Regional after three rounds at 73-67-71. Finished tied for 35th at the NCAA Championships. Won the Players Amateur in the Summer of 2013 and that earned him an exemption into the PGA Tour event RBC Heritage this past April where he narrowly missed the cut. Was an 2011-12 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll honoree along with being named to the 2013 PING All-Southeast Region Team and 2013 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
When he's not playing golf, Hunter likes to go hunting and fishing. Says that he once recorded a 13 on a par-5 and only finished the round at 2-over par. Will throw the ball away if he birdies the first hole of his round. Has one sister, Annie.
