Jesse Smith

Gained local recognition in March when he shot a 59 during the first round of the Fore The Players Tour at the par-70 Dubsdread Golf Course in Orlando, Fla. Has been playing in mini-tours for years, mostly recently in the 2012-2013 season making 7 of 11 cuts on the NGA tour, finishing in the top-25 in all but one of these events.
Participated in the 2001 U.S. Amateur, but missed the cut after shooting rounds of 74-79. Played collegiate golf at Colgate University where he walked onto the team, was named MVP for the 2002 and 2003 seasons. Earned All-Patriot League honors in 2000 and 2002 by finishing T9th and 4th, respectively, in the Patriot League conference championships.
Father won a WHA Championship in 1973 with the New England Whalers, was a hockey standout at the University of New Hampshire, school's annual offensive MVP award is given in his name. Encouraged his son to play many sports, was a full-blooded Mohawk and Jesse now splits time between Barrington, NH and the Six Nations Reserve of the Grand River Territory. His great uncle was great uncle was Jay Silverheels, famous for playing Tonto in the Lone Ranger television and movie series.
