Lindy Miller

Lindy Miller served 22 years as the director of golf at Mira Vista Golf and Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. He is currently the PGA Teaching Professional at Shady Oaks Country Club in Westworth Village, Texas. He finished T-8th in the 2006 and 2009 Senior PGA Professional National Championships. Finished 76th in the 2007 Senior PGA Championship. Won the 2006 Northern Texas Section Club Professional Championship. Finished T-57th in the 1991 PGA Championship and 71st in 1987.
T-8th in the PGA Professional National Championship in 1986 and T-11th in 1988.
Played in the 1977 U.S. Open, where he garnered low-amateur honors.
Finished 16th in the 1978 Masters while competing as an amateur. Had a 4-0 record in the 1977 Walker Cup. Miller played in the U.S. Junior Amateur, where he was a quarterfinalist in 1972. Played on the PGA Tour between 1979-84. His best tour finish was runner-up in the 1979 Tallahassee Open. Has six top-ten finishes and made the cut in 85 events with total career earnings of $178,680. Won the Oklahoma Open (1978, 1986), Amarillo Open (Nationwide Tour, 1990). As an amateur, he helped win the NCAA Team Championship for Oklahoma State (1976, 1978). Missed cut in 2009 U.S. Senior Open.
Miller was a standout high school golfer at Fort Worth Arlington Heights, and a four-time All-American at Oklahoma State. At Oklahoma State, he won the 1978 Fred Haskins Award, given to the nation?s top player. Instrumental in the creation of The First Tee of Fort Worth.
Has tallied two top-ten finishes for the 2017 season. Was selected as one of four inductees for the 2016 Texas Golf Hall of Fame class. Named 2016 Golf Professional of the Year by the Northern Texas PGA Section. In 2016, he finished T-6th at the Club Car NTPGA Senior Professional Championship at Cottonwood Valley Golf Course. Earned a 16th place finish at the Joyce Crane/Ben Hogan Golf Section Championship. Played in just one tournament between 2013-15, tying for 9th at the Adams Golf Pro-Scratch Championship. His best finish in 2012 came at the KBS Tour Shafts NTPGA Seniors? Championship, T-4th. In 2011, he played in four events, finishing in the top-20 three times. Had two runner-up finishes in 2010 at the KBS Tour Shafts NTPGA Seniors? Championship and E-Z-GO/UST MAMIYA Eastern Championship.
