Robert Streb

Born in Chikasha, Oklahoma, Streb spent the Oklahoma winters playing hockey while he was growing up, and his love for sports has continued and evolved into a passion for golf. Streb's attention turned to golf during high school while he watched Bob Tway. He was fortunate enough to play golf with Tway's son at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond, Oklahoma. During his time at Kansas State University, Streb earned 12 career top-5 finishes. He was also named an Honorable-Mention All-American in 2009. Streb graduated from Kansas State with a marketing degree that year.
After graduation, Streb turned pro. His first professional event was at the 2009 Oklahoma Open. After playing mini-tour events, he made it to the finals of the 2011 PGA Tour Qualifying tournament, finishing T-100th and earning a spot on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2012.
2012 Notes: Played on the Korn Ferry Tour and won the Mylan Classic. Along with a T-3rd at the BMW Charity, the win helped him finish 7th on the money list, securing his PGA Tour card for 2013.
2012 Korn Ferry Tour Summary: Tournaments Entered - 24; Rounds Played - 86; In Money - 19; Top-10 Finishes - 7; Money - $305,591 (ranked 7th); Best Finish 1st, Mylan Classic.
2013 Notes: In his first year on the PGA Tour, Streb had five top-25 finishes. His best finish was T-11th at the Puerto Rico Open. Finished 126th in the FedEx Cup standings (141st on the money list) and went to the Korn Ferry Tour finals. Best finish was T-28th at Nationwide Children's. Since he finished 126th in the FedExCup points, he was able to retain his Tour card with limited availability for 2014.
2014 Notes: Enjoyed a solid sophomore season, with 17 cuts made in 21 starts and a pair of top-10 finishes (T-2nd at Zurich Classic of New Orleans and T-9th at the Deutsche Bank). Finished 71st in the FedExCup rankings and 83rd on the money list.
2015 Notes: Started his year with a T-31st at the Frys.com Open, then T-10th at the Shriners Hospitals. He won the McGladrey Classic in his 49th PGA Tour start, defeating Will MacKenzie on the first playoff hole. He shot a final-round 63 and had to wait 90 minutes for the leaders to complete their rounds. Finished 8th at the Sanderson Farms and T-8th at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Also finished T-10th at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Had a rough patch of nine events in which he had no top-25 finishes, but broke out of that slump with a T-4th at Wells Fargo. Was runner-up at The Greenbrier, getting eliminated on the first hole of the playoff, which Danny Lee went on to win. Finished 5th at the WGC-Bridgestone and a week later earned his first top-10 result in a major, T-10th at the PGA Championship. Played in all four FedExCup Playoff events, finishing the series in 18th place. He was 14th on the money list.
2016 Notes: Played in 27 PGA Tour events making 17 cuts with one top-ten, a T-7th at the PGA Championship. Started the year with a T-4th at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. After that, his only top-25 finishes until the PGA Championship were T-18th at the Farmers Insurance Open, T-20th at the Memorial, and T-21st at the Quicken Loans National. Finished 105th in the FedExCup standings and 107th on the money list.
2017 Notes: Played in 30 PGA Tour events making 20 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Was 63rd in the FedExCup standings. Was T-9th at the Farmers Insurance Open, it was his only top-20 finish until he finished 2nd at the Greenbrier Classic which got him his ticket into the British Open, but he missed the cut at Birkdale. In the FedExCup playoffs was T-10th at the Northern Trust, T-73rd at the Dell Technologies Championship, and T-53rd at the BMW Championship.
2018 Notes: Played in 29 PGA Tour events making 10 cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 178th in the FedExCup standings. Best finish was T-10th at the Barbasol Championship. Returned to the Korn Ferry Tour and played in all four Finals events, highlighted by a win at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship (beat Peter Malnati in a playoff). Secured a return to the PGA Tour for the 2019 season with a fourth-place finish on the Korn Ferry Tour Finals money list. Was sixth in the final priority-ranking order.
2019 Notes: Played in 28 PGA Tour events making 12 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 128th in the FedExCup standings. Was T-4th at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, four shots back of winner Bryson DeChambeau. Was T-3rd at the Barracuda Championship, seven points back of winner Collin Morikawa. Returned to the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, played twice, with a T-5th finish at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship. The result secured his return to the PGA Tour and a spot in The Finals 25.
2020 Notes: Played in 19 PGA Tour events making seven cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 145th in the FedExCup standings. His best finish was T-5th at the Barracuda Championship, four points back of winner Richy Werenski.
2021 Notes: Won The RSM Classic in a playoff over Kevin Kisner, recording his second win on the PGA Tour and second at The RSM Classic. Became the first player to earn his first two PGA Tour victories at the same event since Daniel Berger (2016, 2017 FedEx St. Jude Classic). Was T-13th at the Honda Classic.
