Formerly worked in a crematorium his parents manage in Valentine. Also worked in a pro shop at Westside GC in Newcastle. Biggest thrill in golf was making a hole-in-one for $500,000 at the Ericsson Masters. After being introduced to the game by his brother at the age of ten, he used his grandmother's clubs.
Rookie on the PGA Tour after finishing 18th on the 2005 Nationwide Tour money list. Was propelled by a T2 at the Jacob's Creek Open in his native Australia in first start of the season and T3s at the Alberta Classic and Albertsons Boise Open. Member of the Nationwide Tour in 2002 and 2004-05. Ranked 39th on the final money list in 2004. Finished T2 at the 2003 Henrico County Open. His 26-under total matched the Nationwide Tour's previous all-time record, first set by Chris Smith at the 1997 Omaha Classic. Lone top-10 on 2002 Nationwide Tour was a T9 at the LaSalle Bank Open. Missed the cut at the 2001 British Open in his only PGA Tour start. Member of the Australasian Tour since 1998. Made the cut in all eight events during the 2001 season. Runner-up in consecutive weeks, including one-shot losses to Colin Montgomerie at the Ericsson Masters and Peter Lonard at the ANZ Championship. Ended the season No. 5 on the Order of Merit. Won the 2000 Queensland PGA Championship in Australia and the 2000 Benefit Partners/NRCS Classic on the Canadian Tour. Recently accepted an invitation to host the New South Wales Open for the next two years near his hometown of Newcastle. First time in the 78-year history of the tournament a player has hosted the event. Represented New South Wales in soccer.
