Tom Hoge

Hoge started playing golf when he was 3 with his parents Chuck and Rhonda and older brother Charlie. Tom also has a younger sister, Elli. Born in North Carolina, Hoge grew up in Fargo, N.D., and is one of three people from North Dakota ever to be a PGA Tour member. Hoge enjoys watching Texas Christian sports. He attended TCU, where he finished 3rd in the 2009 NCAA Championships. Hoge played in four U.S. Amateurs: 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
2011 Notes: After graduating from TCU turned pro, played in five PGA Tour Canadian events, won the Players Cup. Made it to the final stage of PGA Tour Q-School, and finished T-82nd getting him access to the Korn Ferry Tour for 2012.

2014 Korn Ferry Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 24; rounds played - 78; in money - 15; top-10 finishes - 3; scoring average - 70.38 (ranked 50th); money - $72,616 (ranked 65th); Best finish, 3rd Chiquita Classic. In his first 16 outings, he had only two finishes better than 50th, a T-12th in Chile in March and a T-14th in Wichita in June. The stretch included nine missed cuts, including the last four in late June and July. He opened the Korn Ferry Tour Finals with a T-53rd at the Hotel Fitness Championship before posting his best finish of the year, a T-3rd, at the Chiquita Classic. A check for $68,000 ensured he would get his PGA Tour card for 2015. Made all four cuts in the Finals.
2015 Notes: Made 15 of 26 cuts during his rookie PGA Tour season, with two top-10s. Finished 132nd on the FedExCup standings and 129th on the money list. Four rounds under par, highlighted by a 6-under 66 Sunday, helped him to a T-5th finish at the RBC Canadian Open. Birdied five of his last six holes in the final round at Glen Abbey GC to claim his career-best top-five finish. In the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, made the cut in three tournaments. Played his way into contention at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship. He opened with a 1-under 70 and was three back after the first round. Rebounded from a second-round 72 with 70-69 on the weekend to secure a T2 finish, two back of winner Andrew Loupe. Collected a check for $74,666, advancing him to 7th on the Finals' money list, ensuring his return to the PGA Tour. He did not compete in the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, leaving him 16th on the final priority-ranking order.
2016 Notes: Played in 26 PGA Tour events making 14 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Had a pair of T-9ths at The RSM Classic and Valero Texas Open. He finished 144th in the FedExCup standings. He was 125th in FedExCup standings at the conclusion of the U.S. Open but drifted down the standings after missing cuts in the final four starts of the season. Played in three Korn Ferry Tour Finals events, made the cut once T-31st at the Albertsons Boise Open.
2017 Notes: Played in 17 PGA Tour events making ten cuts. Best finish T-4th at the Barracuda Championship. He was 166th in the FedExCup standings. He finished his season playing in seven Korn Ferry Tour events, with three top-25s and five cuts made. Was 47th in the final priority-ranking order. Secured his PGA Tour card for the 2018 season with a 23rd-place finish on the 2017 Korn Ferry Tour Finals money list (excluding the 25).
2018 Notes: Played in 31 PGA Tour events making 20 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Best finish 3rd at the Sony Open in Hawaii, he was a shot back of the Kizzire/Hahn playoff. Advanced to the FedExCup Playoffs for the first time, ending his season at 92nd in the FedExCup following a T-66th at the Dell Technologies Championship.
2019 Notes: Played in 32 PGA Tour events making 17 cuts with one top-ten finish. His best finish was 6th in the Barracuda Championship, he entered the week 172nd in the FedEx Cup race and was 157th after. He was 77th in the Wyndham Championship, finishing 159th in the FedExCup standings. In the Korn Ferry Tour Finals was T-7th at the Nationals Children's and T-20th at the Albertsons Boise Open. With his 17th-place finish in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals 25 was able to secure a PGA Tour membership for 2020.
2020 Notes: Played in 24 PGA Tour events making 13 cuts with three top-ten finishes. He was 50th in the FedExCup points list. In the season opener at the Military Tribute at The Greenbrier, he shot a final-round 65 to finish 2nd, six shots back of winner Joaquin Niemann. He was T-6th at the American Express and 5th at the Farmers Insurance, four shots back of winner Marc Leishman. When he finished T-25th after his next start at the Waste Management Phoenix Open was 15th on the FedExCup points list. Ended the regular season 39th. In the playoffs, he missed the cut at the Northern Trust and was T-65th at the BMW Championship. So despite his 50th place in the standings being his career-best, it could have been better.
2021 Notes: Played in 34 PGA Tour events making 16 cuts with two top-ten finishes. He was 54th in the FedExCup standings. He was T-3rd at the Mayakoba Golf Classic, three shots back of winner Viktor Hovland. In the FedExCup playoffs was T-4th at the Northern Trust, five shots back of the Finau/Smith playoff. The next week was T-49th at the BMW Championship.
2022 Notes: Played in 32 PGA Tour events making 19 cuts with six top-ten finishes. He was 10th in the FedExCup standings. Finished T-4th at the RSM Classic. He was 2nd at The American Express, a shot back of winner Hudson Swafford, who finished eagle-birdie-par. Won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am by two shots over Jordan Spieth, earning his first PGA Tour victory in his 203rd career start at the age of 32 years, 8 months, 12 days. Held a share of the first- and second-round leads at The Players Championship. Shot 72-76 on the weekend to finish T-33rd. Shot 69 in the final round of the PGA Championship to finish T-9th. Finished T-4th at the 3M Open, earning his fourth top-five finish of the season. Snapped a streak of six missed cuts entering the week. In the FedExCup playoffs missed the cut at the FedEx St. Jude. He was T-48th at the BMW Championship and 10th at the Tour Championship.
2023 Notes: Was T-12th in the season-opening Fortinet Championship. Shot 65-64 over the weekend at the Shriners Children's Open to finish T-4th, four back of winner Tom Kim. He was T-9th at the Zozo Championship and won the unofficial QBE Shootout with partner Sahith Theegala. Finished T-3rd at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, four shots back of winner Jon Rahm. Hoge was the best of the 13 first-timers in the field. Played the final six holes in 6-under to shoot a 9-under 64 in the final round. Shot a third-round 62 at The Players Championship, becoming the first player in tournament history to record an 18-hole score of 62 or better, and went on to finish T-3rd. Following a first-round 78 became the first player to record a first-round score 78 or higher in a PGA Tour event and go on to finish in the top five since Jose Maria Olazabal at the 2007 Players Championship.
