Parents are Lois and Gavin ... has a brother Rob ... this is the second time he has qualified for the US Open (the other time was in 2002 at Bethpage) and has tried a total of six times beginning in 2002 ... he qualified this year at Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tennessee T11 137 where he chipped in for par on the 35th hole and birdied the 36th hole ... he played in the 1999 US Amateur at Pebble Beach ... his caddie is Mike Loustel, his former hockey coach, good friend and mentor ... his most memorable golf moment was playing in the 2002 US Open at Bethpage ... his lowest 18-hole score was 65, which he shot back-to-back this uear in the Canadian Tour's Northern California Classic ... won the 1999 Manitoba Amateur ... runner-up at the 2001 Manitoba Amateur ... won the 2001 Johnny Owens Invitational NCAA ... says his lucky charm is "hard work" ... besides golf, he enjoys movies, music, family and friends ... he used to play a Scandinavian sport called Bandy, which is played on ice like a soccer field using a stick similar to field hockey and a ball similar to lacrosse ... he played in the 1997 Bandy World Championship in Sweden for Team Canada with his brother
