Alfie Plant

He plays his golf at Sundridge Park in Bromley,in 2016 he won the Lytham Trophy by seven shots. Plant is a adrenaline junkie, in a trip to South Africa he bungee jumped the highest bridge in the country, he also went Great White Shard diving, walked with Lions and jumped out of a plane for his 16th birthday and ran the London Marathon in 2012.
He won the European Amateur on July 1st in a playoff at Walton Heath Golf Club. He outlasted Lorenzo Scalise and defending champion Luca Clanchetti. After three holes the defending champion fell out of the running, Plant and Scalise moved onto sudden death golf with Plant winning with a birdie on the second win or go home hole. With the victory goes an invite to the Open but before playing at Birkdale Alfie will be flying to Austria to take part in the European Amateur Team Championship at the Diamond Country club. On talking about the win Plant said, ?It?s going to take a few days to sink in, but it?s brilliant,? he said after moving up from 64th to 34th on the amateur world rankings and obviously greatly boosting his hopes of getting on the Walker Cup team that will be played in Los Angeles in September. The week had started with the death of his great-grandmother and he added: ?This is a good way to put smile back on everyone?s faces.?
