Alicia Dibos

In 1989, Dibos left her home in Lima, Peru to pursue a professional golf career. She played on the European and Asian tour between 1990 and 1992 before making it through LPGA Qualifying School in 1992, on her first attempt. In her LPGA rookie season (1993), her best finish was T-24th at the McDonald's Championship. In 1994, she competed in the U.S. Women's Open where she finished T-4th, just six shots off the lead. In the same year, she posted her career-best finish of T-2nd at the Children's Medical Center Classic after competed in a sudden death playoff. Dibos recorded her second career hole-in-one during the second round of the Philips Invitational Honoring Harvey Penick in 2000; her best finish that season came at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic, where she finished T-17th. In the 2001 season, she recorded her most successful season in four years, posting seven Top-25 finishes and the lowest scoring average of her career. In 2002, Dibos became the assistant pro at Winged Foot Golf Club, after becoming an LPGA T & CP member in 1997.
Competed in the ISPS Handa Cup World Team from 2006-2014 (winning in 2013).
Says the highest accomplishment in her personal life came in 2004 when she became a U.S. citizen.
Currently, Dibos is the Director of Instruction at Winged Foot Golf Club and plays on the Legends Tour a few times a year. In 2017, she finished T-14th at the Senior LPGA Championship and T-6th at the Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup. In 2018, she finished T-24 at the Senior LPGA Championship.

Alicia shot 73-76-75-75=299 (+7) to finish T-12th in the first U.S. Senior Women's Open
