Anthony Wall

Completed a 15th consecutive season inside the top 100 in The 2012 Race to Dubai, taking his career earnings to just shy of ?7 million in the process. That record unfortunately came to an end after missing out on the 2013 season through injury and receiving a medical exemption for the 2014 season, but consolation came in him being the last man to retain his card thanks to a 110th place finish in The 2014 Race to Dubai. Has on several occasions come close to adding to his sole victory, in the 2000 Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa, most recently at the Irish Open in 2012, when he finished tied second. Best year was in 2006, when he recorded three runner-up finishes including in the European Open, which earned him a spot in The 135th Open Championship. Made the most of the opportunity with an assured performance at Hoylake, eventually finishing as the leading Brit in a share of 11th spot. Represented England at Boys and Youth level, before turning professional in 1995. As a 15 year old junior member at Sunningdale, he used to practise with Sir Nick Faldo. Won the prestigious Sunningdale Foursomes as an amateur in 1994 with Steve Webster, now a colleague on The European Tour and a Seve Trophy team-mate in 2009. Lifelong Queens Park Rangers fan.
2015 Notes: Played in 26 European Tour events making 19 Cuts including 4 top-10s. Best finish T-3rd Turkish Airlines Open and T-2nd Joburg Open. Finished 43 in the race to Dubai.
2016 Notes: Best finish T-3rd, which got him his spot in the Open Championship.
