Ayaka Watanabe

Began playing golf at age 10 and credits Ms. Akiko Fukushima on introducing her to the sport. Says her most memorable golf experience is when she chipped in for eagle on the final hole of the AXA Ladies Golf Tournament in Miyazaki this year.
When she's not playing golf, Watanabe likes to watch sports and is really interested in one day learning how to surf. Carded a 63 at the Tomei Country Club, which is her lowest career 18-hole score.
Played in more than 20 Japan LPGA Tour events in 2013. Her best finish came in the Fujitsu Ladies event, where she was runner-up after rounds of 70-69. Placed fourth in the Hisako Higuchi Ladies where she finished with rounds of 68-71-69.
In 2014, she participated in more than 10 Japan LPGA Tour events. Most notably, she won the AXA Ladies event in Miyazaki, where she chipped in for eagle on the final hole to win. Also was runner-up in the Daikin Orchid Ladies after she carded back-to-back 6's during the final two rounds. Also had two eighth-place finishes after finishing 1-under and 6-under at the World Ladies Salonpas Cup and Resort Trust Ladies, respectively.
In 2015, she failed to qualify at the RICOH Women's British Open. She T-39th at the TOTO Japan Classic.
In 2016, she was T-38th at the U.S. Women's Open and T-58th at the TOTO Japan Classic.
For the 2017 season, she finished runner-up at the T Point Ladies' Golf Tournament and Yamaha Ladies Open Katsuragi. She T-4th at the Chukyo Television-Bridgestone Ladies Open, T-6th at the AXA Ladies' Golf Tournament in MIYAZAKI and T-15th at the Yokohama Tire Golf Tournament PRGR Ladies' Cup.
