Brian Cooper

Cooper is a former collegiate hockey and baseball player at Duquesne University. He did not take up golf full-time until after college. After turning pro in 1993, Cooper competed on mini tours, earning more than 30 wins. He has competed briefly on PGA Tour Latinoamerica and PGA Tour Canada. In 2012, Cooper appeared on Big Break Greenbrier in which he was the eighth person eliminated; he redeemed himself in 2013 by finishing runner-up on Big Break NFL Puerto Rico. Cooper became the Southwest PGA 72nd Arizona Open Champion in 2016 and then went on to win the Arizona Senior Open in 2017; thus making him the first person ever to own both titles at the same time. Cooper has a 6-year-old son and enjoys teaching him how to play the sport. Outside of golf, he enjoys hot yoga and hiking.
Cooper has had his eye on gaining full exempt status on PGA Tour Champions. In December, 2018, after he was in the top 5 after two rounds, he came up short and finished T-18th in the final stage of Q-School at TPC Tampa.
2019 Notes: Played in six PGA Tour Champions events, best finish T-43rd at the Principal Charity Classic. Was back in the Qualifying Tournament, and finished T-21st.
2020/21 Notes: Played in three PGA Tour Champions events, best finish was T-59th at the Ally Challenge. Returned to the Qualifying Tournament and finished T-51st.
2022 Notes: Finished T-3rd at the Qualifying Tournament.
2023 Notes: Best finish T-52nd at the Invited Celebrity Classic.
