Bryan Norton

Born and raised in Salina, Kan., learning the game under the tutelage of Salina Country Club Golf Professional and Kansas Golf Hall of Famer Wally Beets. Played golf at Oral Roberts University, contributing to a team that included four All-Americans and finished second in the NCAA in 1981. Bryan was twice a second-team All-America selection, finished fourth individually in the 1980 NCAA Championship, and won his first Kansas Amateur Championship in 1980.
After college, played professionally for 10 years: five on the PGA European Tour, one year on the PGA Tour (1991), one year on the Web.Com Tour (1992), and won the Kansas Open in 1984. After retiring from professional golf, Bryan settled in Kansas City, where he now works for Lockton Companies. A reinstated amateur, Bryan has continued to compete. He won the Kansas Amateur for a second time in 2002. In 2003, was runner-up in the U.S. Mid-Amateur and earned stroke-play medalist honors in the British Mid-Amateur. Played in the 2009 U.S. Senior Open and T-19 after carding rounds of 73-73-69-70 for a 3-under-par finish. He led the Kansas team that won the USGA Men's State Team Championship in 2010, and won the Kansas Senior Amateur Championship in 2010 and 2011. Most recently in 2014, Norton won the George L. Coleman Senior Amateur event after carding rounds of 69-74-72.
Bryan was named to the Foundation Board of Trustees in 2008. Has three children with wife, Julie. President of the Kansas Golf Foundation Board of Trustees.
Is playing in his sixth different USGA championship (U.S. Open, U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Mid-Amateur and U.S. Junior Amateur). Played in four U.S. Opens, but never made the cut (1980, 1981, 1991, 1992).
Missed the cut at the 2014 U.S. Senior Open.
